Dermal Filler Dissolving & Correcting

Dermal Filler Dissolving & Correcting

Surprisingly, not all patients actually know that they need a dissolving treatment or why. We come across many cases here in our practice of clients who come in and may want a particular look. In order for us to achieve the best result, we have only one option: dissolving.

WHY DISSOLVE FILLER?
There are many reasons why we need to dissolve dermal filler, particularly when the product is causing the face to look unnatural with restricted muscle movement.
Some of these reasons include:

• Product misplacement
• Incorrect choice of the product, depth of injection
• Incorrect technique
HOW DOES IT WORK? HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The process involves the use of an enzyme. This enzyme can be injected at high concentrations in order to rapidly remove the unwanted filler.

Once injected, the filler will immediately begin to soften. Swelling is common with this procedure, so it usually takes 24-48 to see the full effect. Dissolving treatments could take anywhere from one session to multiple depending on the complexity of each case.

WHEN CAN I HAVE FILLER INJECTED?
After the two-week period, once all swelling and potential bruising has subsided, we then reassess the area and determine whether we continue with dissolving or proceed with dermal filler treatment using the correct technique and the right product.

We thoroughly consult all new clients at The Aesthetic Edit to ensure we can achieve the best outcomes for each individual. While getting dermal filler dissolved may not be the most desirable procedure, it will ensure immaculate results and a safer treatment long-term.
